Spare a thought for the Prep teachers at a Mont Albert primary school — if remembering all those new names is tough, trying doing it with five sets of twins.
The twins start at Mont Albert Primary School on Wednesday, meaning almost 12 per cent of the school’s prep students in 2020 will be twins.
The families are all local to the area, but only two know each other, with some having been at kinder with several other sets of twins, but who are headed to different primary schools.
The first day of school can be a daunting experience for little ones, but it’s bound to be much easier when you’ve got your best friend by your side.
Victoria Ringenson’s girls Lilly and Grace Bell are beyond excited to get into Term 1.
“I’m so ready and they are ready, too,” Ms Ringenson said.

Lilly said the best thing about having a twin was playing with each other, while Grace said she loved that her sister could show her how to do things she didn’t know how to do.
Billie Dabner said twin Arabella meant she would always have someone to play with.
She’s excited to get to school and start learning, particularly if it means craft and making things.
