A 17-year-old girl taunted her neighbour with the words “no face, no case b — ch” before hurling a rock at the woman’s head, a court has heard.
The eastern suburbs teen, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, pleaded guilty at a Children’s Court on June 3 to assaulting the woman during a neighbourhood dispute between her father and their neighbour in March last year.
Senior Constable Sarah Gilderdale told the court the girl, who was 16 at the time of the assault, intervened during a verbal argument between her father and the woman over a car parked in the street on March 19.
The girl grabbed a rock and held it as if she was going to throw it, Sen-Constable Gilderdale told the court, prompting the neighbour to goad her saying “go on, go on” before the girl pitched the rock at her face, hitting the woman in the cheek.
The teen was subject to an intervention order that prohibited her from being within 2m of her neighbour at the time of the attack, Sen-Constable Gilderdale told the court.

And the teen also pleaded guilty to assaulting a man during a theft from a car in March this year as well as criminal damage.
The girl’s defence lawyer told the court his client was in stable accommodation and had made an effort to curb her offending.
Magistrate Jan Maclean deferred sentencing to next month and the teen is due back at court on July 1.
