AWARD-winning Underbelly and House Husbands actor Gyton Grantley is set to take the reigns of a brand new lifestyle and entertainment show, Pooches at Play.

The Ivanhoe actor will team up with dog trainer and animal welfare advocate Lara Shannon and their furry friends, George and Darcy respectively, in his first major television presenting role for Channel 10.

Resident Veterinarian Dr Melissa Meehan completes the team with her adorable rescue poodles Mia and Monty.

Grantley said the show provides training tips, health advice and explores pet-friendly weekend escapes during the episodes, which air at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoons.

“We also meet up with famous pooches from Instagram and catch up with celebrities and their dogs,” Grantley told the Leader.
