ISAIAH Firebrace may have sung to the world at Eurovision but now The X Factor Australia winner is putting his focus on our city for Leader’s Snap Melbourne event.
The talented teenager is doing a special performance at Queensbridge Square on November 22 as part of our campaign urging people to snap and share photos of what they love about Melbourne.
Between 11am and 2pm the outdoor space will come alive with appearances from Melbourne Storm, Melbourne Vixens and Hockey Australia players, and a DJ spinning tunes.
An appetite for Instagram means more diners through the door
KIIS FM will be doing live crosses from the site for an hour.
You’ll also be able to sample free tasty treats from Dos Diablos, Mini Pancakes, Melbourne Paella and Ray Thai.
Canon Collective ambassadors will also be providing two 45-minute walking tours as part of the event, with their tips and tricks for taking great photos.
Wherever you are on November 22 for those 24 hours we are inviting you to post pics of your slice of Melbourne to create a day in the life of our city.
All you need to do is post your photos on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #SnapMelbourne.
But you don’t need to wait until then to start snapping.
In the lead up to #SnapMelbourne Day we are encouraging people to take photos of what they love about where they live.
Our focus this week is snapping and sharing the special people in your life with the theme “My Family, My Home”.
Canon Collective ambassador Neal Walters shared his tips for capturing those you love:
- When indoors, shoot by a window for good natural light. It has a bit of a filter so you’ll have a beautiful spread of light across your subject.
- For good exposure use TV (Time Value) mode to set your shutter speed (1/200 for this type of environment) and the camera will work out the rest.
