Burger Road Ashburton: Popular burger chain opens on High Street

Burger lovers are flocking to a new store in Ashburton, one of several exciting additions on the High St shopping strip.

Burger Road has opened in High St Ashburton.

Burger fans in Melbourne’s east have given a warm welcome to a new store on High St Ashburton.

American style burger joint Burger Road opened on the strip about three months ago, filling a gap in the local area for burger lovers.

The popular chain already has several stores in the northern suburbs.

Bikram Randhawa, who owns the Ashburton store with his wife Nandini Wadhawan, said they had been given an “exceptionally amazing” welcome by locals.

“We are really happy with the way Ashburton has showered their love on us,” he said.

“We are very focused on giving the best quality products around and I believe Ashburton was missing something like this.

“So we tried our best to get a shop here and we’ve been really happy with the way it has been going so far.”

As well as its extensive range of beef, chicken, veggie and vegan burgers, the store also serves wings, fries and shakes.

“When people try our burgers, we’ve been complimented so many times that they have not tried something like this before,” Mr Randhawa said.

He said they had a strong focus on providing great customer service and serving the highest quality food.

“We have no tricks, we’re just giving the best food out possible,” he said.

“And the minute a customer walks in, we make them feel welcome.”

Burger Road is not the only exciting arrival on the High St strip.

Two Doors Brewing, the first wine bar and brewery in Ashburton Village since the dry zone was declared in the 1920s, has also opened its doors, while locals can also grab a cocktail, glass of bubbles, or cold beer at Oydis Bar.
