Best sites to get a quick PCR test in Melbourne

There are now six places across Melbourne where you can get PCR test in 15 minutes. See our list of the fastest wait times and those to avoid.

Despite rapid antigen test results counting in Victoria’s Covid numbers, testing sites are still facing high demand.

At 10am on Friday, majority of sites had a wait time of 60 minutes or more.

It comes after the state recorded 34,836 new cases and 18 Covid deaths in the past 24 hours on Friday.

There are now 976 infected people in Victorian hospitals, with 112 in intensive care and 30 on ventilators.

A Crowd-sourcing information website has also been developed, “Find a RAT”, to allow people to access data on which chemists and supermarkets have stock available.
