Campbellfield: Investigations ongoing into Merola Way fatality
Investigations are underway after an auto-electrician died in a tragic workplace incident in Campbellfield.

A man has died in Melbourne’s north after he became trapped underneath a truck.
The worker, understood to be a 41-year-old auto electrician, was left trapped underneath his truck on the weekend after trying to fix a faulty tailgate on Merola Way, Campbellfield.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics were called to the incident along with the Victoria Police but the Epping man died at the scene from his injuries.
The incident has increased the workplace death toll to 46 for this year, compared to 27 at the same time last year.
WorkSafe have started investigating the incident and police are in the process of preparing a report for the coroner.
