Broadmeadows bus assault: police release Essendon railway station CCTV footage

Police have released CCTV footage in hopes someone might come forward with information relating to an alleged sexual assault on a Melbourne bus. Watch the video.

Police are investigating a sexual assault which allegedly occurred on a bus between Broadmeadows and Essendon earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a 20-year-old woman was travelling on a bus between Broadmeadows and Essendon railway stations between 12.30 and 1.30pm on Tuesday, May 3 when a man allegedly touched her inappropriately.

It’s understood the man boarded the bus at Broadmeadows railway station on Pascoe Vale Rd.

Police believe the person in these images may be able to assist with their inquiries into a sexual assault that occurred on a bus travelling between Broadmeadows and Essendon on Tuesday May 3. Pictures: Supplied

The woman got off the bus at Essendon railway station where she reported the incident.

The man also disembarked the bus at Essendon railway station and left the scene.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as aged in this 20s, of thin build and of Asian appearance, with olive skin and straight, black, short hair.

He was wearing a black top with black pants and white runners and was carrying a white bag.
