Mum Claire Shuter, a dedicated attendee of the Lego convention, told the Herald Sun she was thrilled to be sharing the Lego experience with her son.

“I’m excited that he’s excited and it’s nice to see all the kids here … it’s just amazing to see like other like minded come together,” she said.

“What’s nice about Lego is you can build the set as is and then make something else from it and then also customise it again.”

President of Brickventures Nicole Macdonald said they were expecting a “bumper” crowd to make their way to the convention.

“It’s a great weekend to come down and look at some Lego and we’ve got lots to see and do inside … we’ve got interactive zones where you can help us build a giant mosaic, play with some Lego builds made by people and there’s a free play area to play with bricks and do all sorts of fun things,” she said.
