The US-born Beyond Burger, which was first introduced to stores in NSW and Queensland, has a meat-like flavour, but is made from pea-protein.

Each patty contains 20g of pea protein and is gluten, GMO and soy-free.

Research by Roy Morgan in 2018 has found the trend in vegetarian eating continues to grow in Australia, with about 12 per cent of the population now eating all or almost all plant-based diets, up from 11.2 per cent in 2016.

Whether you’re wanting to reduce your environmental footprint, cut down on meat, or simply see if you can taste the difference, you can try a Beyond Burger at a venue near you.
