Woman flown to Melbourne after falling from fire escape in Wycheproof

A young woman is in a critical condition after she fell from a fire escape at a property in north western Victoria.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to a Wycheproof property, 134km north west of Bendigo, at 2.25am on Sunday.

She said a woman in her 20s had fallen, resulting in serious upper body injuries.

It is understood the woman fell from a fire escape at a workplace.

The Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said she was taken to Bendigo Hospital before being flown to The Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.

A WorkSafe spokeswoman said investigations were ongoing.
