Unnamed horse trainer busted with depraved child abuse material
A horse trainer from central Victoria busted with hundreds of depraved child abuse material and messages blamed it on his “hacked” Facebook account and phone.
A horse trainer from central Victoria who exchanged sickening child abuse material and messages with nearly 150 Telegram users blamed it on his “hacked” Facebook account and phone.
The man, whose name is suppressed, appeared in the County Court on Friday after earlier pleading guilty to charges of accessing and transmitting child abuse material over one year.
He was arrested after the Australian Federal Police and Victoria Police Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team found depraved child abuse material and messages, including Telegram messages that involved bestiality with young and dead animals.
He described the exchange of vile images and messages as “fantasy chats”.
The court heard the man often introduced himself to the Telegram users as single, a farmer and a dad. In one of the messages, he asked a Telegram user if they have ever “done young” before sending an image of his penis. In another chat, he asked a user “Got any rape pics to swap?”
He was sent 350 videos and 15 images of child abuse material by one Telegram user alone, and 53 videos by another between September 2022 and September 2023.
The man was remanded on bail for sentencing on November 11.
