An accused killer driver will stand trial charged with causing the death of beloved teen Bella Canfield in a horror crash near Bendigo.

Jury empanelment has begun in the trial of a man accused of killing beloved teen Bella Canfield in a horrific car crash near Bendigo.

Miles Richard Parry pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving causing death after he hit 18-year-old Bella Canfield with his car while she was walking home at Salisbury West on January 19, 2022.

Ms Canfield had recently graduated from Marist College in Bendigo.

Opening arguments are expected to start later this week.
