Man flown to hospital, seriously injured following crash outside Bendigo
A man is in a critical condition after his car hit a tree outside Bendigo this afternoon.

A man has been severely injured following a collision just outside Bendigo.
His car left the road and hit a tree on the Calder Freeway, near the intersection of Bells Rd in Leichardt at 4.10pm.
The man, believed to be 66, suffered chest injuries and was in and out consciousness when he was pulled from the vehicle by SES members.
Paramedics, police and the CFA also responded.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and the man was flown to hospital.
The Calder Freeway was closed in both directions, but has now reopened.
