An East Bendigo man has gone missing just days before he was set to face sex crime charges.

Jaydn Hoskin of East Bendigo was due to face court on Wednesday where Bendigo sex crime detectives were filing charges relating to child abuse material.

Court documents revealed 51 charges relating to soliciting, transmitting and possessing child abuse material between January 2023 and October 2024.

The court heard Mr Hoskin was released on bail after he was charged on July 17 before allegedly failing to report to Bendigo police station on Monday.

The last time he was seen was at an East Bendigo address the same day.

The prosecution said there were “significant concerns” for Mr Hoskin’s wellbeing after he had gone missing.

The prosecution applied for a warrant for arrest to be issued, which was granted by Magistrate Trieu Huynh.

On Wednesday morning, Bendigo police put a call-out to the community in an attempt to find the 37-year-old.

He is described as 184cm, hazel eyes with black short hair.

Anyone with information or who may have seen Mr Hoskin is urged to contact Bendigo Police Station on (03) 5448 1300.
