Police have identified an elderly driver who died in hospital days after a tragic crash in northern Victoria.

An elderly Loddon Vale man has tragically died from his injuries after a serious crash with a tree in northern Victoria.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred on Boort-Pyramid Rd on July 27.
It’s understood the 75-year-old driver was seriously injured when his vehicle left the road, crashing into trees at about 2.20pm.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries on July 31.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said police would continue to investigate the crash, calling for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
There have been 83 lives lost in regional Victoria since the start of the year, a 26 per cent jump on the same period in 2021.
