A golf stimulator, glamping facilities, dog friendly cabins and safari tents are among the raft of new additions to the BIG4 Bendigo Marong Holiday Park.
Owner Justin Morris said the park was in the best condition it had ever been since taking over four years ago.
“It’s all down to the hard work of the dedicated team as well as a clear vision to make it one of the most beautiful holiday parks in Australia,” he said.
Under the new changes there will be cabins catered specifically for people who have dogs.
Previously dogs were allowed on site but the cabins now have large fences and lockable gates.
“We wanted to offer nice, purpose-built accommodation for guests travelling with dogs,” Mr Morris said.
More than 1000 trees and shrubs have also been planted, with solar panels added to amenities to keep carbon emissions down.
The park has also installed a X-Golf simulator, the first of its kind for holiday parks in Australia, proving popular with guests.
The simulator lets guests hit a golf ball into a screen that ‘carries’ it onto a virtual green.
“It’s a great bonding experience for families,” Mr Morris said.
Bell tents are also part of the upgrade and include toilets, which Mr Morris said “you don’t often see”.
