A driver allegedly being pursued by police has been charged after a ute towing a caravan crashed into a Bendigo home.
Police spotted the driver on Helm St, Kangaroo Flat around 5pm on Thursday and attempted to intercept him before he allegedly took off.
A short time later, the driver allegedly crashed the ute and caravan into the front lounge room of a house.
A child was inside the house at the time of the crash, but was unharmed.
The driver was arrested at the scene and treated by paramedics before being taken away in an ambulance.
A 44-year-old Seymour man was charged with conduct endangering life, criminal damage and dangerous driving while pursued by police and was remanded in custody to face Bendigo Magistrates court on Friday.
The house received “significant structural damage”.
CFA and SES crews stood by to pull the ute out of the house and make the structure safe.
