Accused drug dealer Emily Bell charged with commercial trafficking of GHB, meth trafficking

Bendigo police have allegedly busted a woman with more than 2kg of GHB and a hoard of narcotics and cash.

Bendigo police have allegedly unmasked a drug dealer after she was accused of hoarding more than 2kg of GHB and narcotics.

Emily Bell, 33, faced Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday from custody after she was arrested by police in Bendigo on June 22.

Police allege Ms Bell was in possession of “not less than a commercial quantity” of GHB, which is more than 2kg of the drug.

Police also allege Ms Bell was selling meth, charging her with trafficking the amphetamine.

A double edged flick knife was also allegedly seized during the bust along with about $8000 in cash suspected to be proceeds of crime from her alleged drug dealing.

She was also allegedly busted with Suboxone, a prescription drug that can be abused by opioid addicts by using it in between doses to keep withdrawal symptoms from occurring.

Ms Bell was also allegedly busted with Valium and Oxycontin.

The accused drug dealer was also allegedly caught with a fraudulent drivers licence and bank cards police allege she intended to use “to facilitate the commission of an indictable offence”.

The Parkville woman was charged by Criminal Investigation Unit detectives at Maryborough police station and was remanded in custody.

She did not make a bid for bail on Wednesday and will stay on remand until her committal hearing in March 2025.
