A 47-year-old woman who was critically injured while operating a silage wrapper on a farm in South Gippsland has died in hospital.

A worker who was critically injured while operating a silage wrapper on a farm in South Gippsland has died in hospital.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Lower Jack Rd in Jack River — west of Yarram — just after 11am on Wednesday, November 13.
A WorkSafe Victoria spokesperson said the 47-year-old woman was working alone before she was found underneath the machinery by other workers.
She was flown to the Warragul Hospital in a critical condition but succumbed to her injuries later that week.
WorkSafe Victoria are investigating the incident.
Authorities remained on scene for a few hours and it was cleared just before 2pm that day.
The death is the 39th confirmed workplace fatality and the seventh in the agriculture industry this year.
There were 63 work-related deaths at the same time in November last year.
