Emergency services were called to a collision between a minibus and a car in Ventnor on Friday.
Three CFA trucks, Ambulance Victoria and police all attended the scene at the intersection of Ventnor Beach Rd and Ventnor Rd.
It is alleged the driver of a red-coloured Subaru wagon failed to give way to a white coloured Toyota van, which resulted in a collision.
As a result both of Ventnor Beach Rd and Ventnor Rd were blocked for approximately two hours while patients were assessed and treated and police investigated the crime scene.
The bus was carrying a disability support group.
The passenger of the Subaru wagon, a 70-year-old female, and the driver of the white coloured Toyota van, a 64-year-old male, were taken to hospital for assessment.
The clients from the disability support agency were not injured.
“This accident could have been far worse, with attending police stating that they thought they were looking at fatal collision when they first arrived,” a local police spokesperson said.
“The investigation is ongoing, however it is likely that the offending driver will receive an infringement notice.
“Your local police would like to thank witnesses and other people who stopped to assist.”
