Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in the Latrobe Valley.

Emergency services responded to the scene on Woorarra Ct in Morwell at 9.30am on Tuesday.

The fire caused significant damage to the house when it caught alight.

“No one was inside the house at the time of the fire,” a police spokesperson said.

“A crime scene has been set up while emergency services work to establish the circumstances.”

The police spokesperson confirmed the fire is being treated as suspicious at this stage and investigations remain ongoing.
