Police are on the hunt for thugs who confronted an innocent man during a road rage attack near a well-known park in Wonthaggi.

Police are on the hunt for thugs who confronted an innocent man in a road rage attack near a park in Wonthaggi.

Detective Senior Constable Darren Lomax said a dark coloured Holden sedan drove down Murray St and parked outside Apex Park about 5.30pm on November 8.

The group in the Holden got out of their car and had an unprovoked verbal confrontation with a man in his 30s who was sitting in his vehicle.

Detective Lomax declined to comment about what was said but confirmed there were no injuries as a result.

“The victim didn’t get out of his car so he wasn’t physically assaulted,” he said.

It’s believed the offenders weren’t known to the man.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
