Man taken to Bairnsdale hospital after crash in Kalimna, west of Lakes Entrance

A man in his 60s was taken hospital after a crash near Lakes Entrance.

One person was taken to hospital after a crash in a seaside town in East Gippsland.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the Princes Hwy in Kalimna — west of Lakes Entrance — about 3.30pm Monday.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the patient, a man in his 60s, was taken to the Bairnsdale Public Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

A CFA spokeswoman said CFA crews assisted with a washaway after the crash.

The crash was witnessed by users in a Lakes Entrance noticeboard on Facebook, with one saying it took place near the Absolute Motel.

“Not good I’m glad everyone is okay. I heard the bang from my house. Wasn’t sure what it was,” one user shared.

“Just came through not even 5 minutes ago. Didn’t look good but traffic didn’t look too impacted,” another commented.
