A falling tree has killed a motorcyclist in the state’s east, as wild weather whips the state.

A man has died after a tree fell on his motorbike as he was riding in the state’s east.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the Bonang scene.

Five people were riding their motorbikes along Bonang-McKillops Road when a tree fell on one of the riders about 11am.

The man was unable to be revived but other riders were not injured.

Wild weather has ravaged the state, with multiple warnings issued.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

It takes the road toll to 203, up from 165 this time last year.
