Man charged with rape, false imprisonment in Sale
A man has been charged after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who gave him a lift in Sale.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with rape after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who have him a lift in Sale on Saturday night.
It is understood the woman gave a 35-year-old man a lift before he assaulted her in the Sale Train Station car park about 1am on April 9.
Victoria Police said she managed to escape to a nearby home where she raised the alarm.
The man has been charged with rape, attempted rape, false imprisonment, common law assault and three counts of theft.
He was remanded to face Sale Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
