A man who allegedly delivered a crude package to a woman’s workplace - someone he had only met a few weeks prior - had an unbelievable explanation for police.

A man who allegedly sent a woman a barrage of unwanted nude photographs and explicit videos of himself has argued the material was “artistic” and designed to win him a date.

Christopher Sevastopoulos, 51, allegedly delivered the woman a parcel containing an unlocked mobile phone with nude, full frontal images and videos of himself.

He allegedly spoke to the camera saying “This is a pressie (sic) from me to you”, “try my c**k on for size”, “you should be spending time with me” and “you don’t know what your missing out on”.

Other videos allegedly showed Mr Sevastopoulos fondling his genitals saying “For your eyes only, babe”, “I love you” and “hope you enjoyed the show”.

The package, allegedly delivered to her work on July 10, contained a series of notes that read “I’m lovestruck”, “Lucky person whoever holds you close (hope it’s me some time)” and “Hands off she’s mine”.

Court documents obtained by The Bass Coast News allege he started harrassing the woman a day after “the victim acted briefly for the accused in her professional capacity” in June.

In a series of emails he allegedly went from calling her “his soulmate” asking “will you have my babies someday” to stating she is a “bitch” and demanding his phone be returned to him “by midnight or I’ll take matters into my own hands”.

On his arrest on August 5, Mr Sevastopoulos told police he did not believe the videos he sent were sexual in nature and being full nude with his genitals visible was “artistic”.

He said he sent them in the hope of getting a date with the woman and he did not intend to cause harm.

Mr Sevastopoulos is charged with nine offences including stalking, using a carriage service to harass, sexual activity directed at another person and committing an indictable offence on bail.

Magistrate Belinda Wallington, hearing the case at Wonthaggi Magistrates Court last week, said Mr Sevastopoulos “needs treatment”.

“The community and victim needs to be protected by you,” Ms Wallington said.

His case was adjourned to Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court on September 18.
