Man, 28, arrested after homemade explosive device was found in Moe home

A 28-year-old man has been arrested after police allegedly found a homemade explosive device during a search warrant inside a Latrobe Valley home.

Police have arrested a man after they allegedly found a homemade explosive device inside a house in the Latrobe Valley.

A police spokeswoman said officers went to an address in Hampton St Moe about 9.30am on Thursday.

The spokeswoman said the search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation.

“The bomb response unit was notified, attended and made the device safe,” she said.

A 28-year-old Moe man is assisting police with their inquiries.
