Korumburra Magistrates’ Court: Steven Wallace charged with unlawful assault, recklessly causing injury

A Gippsland-based police officer has faced court on multiple assault and drug-related charges.

First Constable Steven Wallace appeared at the Korumburra Magistrates’ Court on Thursday for a mention hearing.

The 46-year-old has been charged with one count of recklessly causing injury, three counts of unlawful assault and one count of possessing cannabis.

Defence lawyer Will Parker, representing Mr Wallace, told Magistrate Alanna Duffy the matters would instead be dealt with in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court.

Ms Duffy adjourned the hearing until the start of August.
