A new pub is set to open in Cape Woolamai after an iconic motorbike themed cafe closed its doors in March.
The Wooli Tavern will open later this year after Inline 4 Cafe closed on March 16.
New owners Vanessa Ware and Frazer Livington said they fell in love with the building as soon as they saw it.
“As soon as we went through the building, we thought it was perfect,” Ms Ware said.
“I didn’t think anything else would suit the space other than a tavern.”
Ms Ware, a businesswoman who has lived in Cape Woolamai for 20 years, said the coastal town needed a family-friendly pub.
Ms Ware said the 1 Vista Place building is being renovated with minor changes to the interior walls and bar area.
“We’re not really changing too much,” she said.
“We want to keep the beautiful timber decor as it is.”
The pub will have a front bar and bistro, pool tables, courtyards and a playground.
An abundance of beer will be on tap with a wide selection of local wines on the menu.
As well as serving high-quality pub food, the Wooli Tavern will also sell shared plates and cheese boards.
This is just one of several new businesses set to open in the Bass Coast this year.
Locals can look forward to a shopping hub in Kilcunda, a new restaurant in San Remo, a bar in Cowes and a supermarket in Grantville.
The pub will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week with live entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
