A Bunyip woman has died after a late night crash in Drouin, with the woman’s car flipping upside down after crashing into trees.

A Bunyip woman has died after crashing her car into trees in Drouin, with the impact forcing her car to flip upside down.

Police believe the female driver was travelling along Longwarry Rd when she crashed into trees, about 11.15pm Sunday, August 6.

Police said the impact of the crash forced the car to flip upside down.

Emergency crews arrived, but the woman, a 53-year-old Bunyip woman, died at the scene.

The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined.

There have now been 176 people killed on Victorian roads this year, compared to 142 at this time last year.
