Bairnsdale: Man flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in serious condition following collision

A man and woman have been injured and taken to hospital following a crash in East Gippsland.

A man has been seriously injured and flown to hospital following a collision in East Gippsland.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Paynesville Rd in Bairnsdale at 10.15am on Tuesday.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man in his 60s was flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition with upper and lower body injuries.

A woman in her 20s was taken Bairnsdale Regional Health Service in a stable condition with upper body injuries.

The spokesperson added a man in his 40s was assessed at the scene but no emergency treatment or transport was required.

CFA crews also assisted at the scene.

“CFA crews were from Bairnsdale and Mt Taylor — Victoria Police were also on scene,” a CFA spokesperson said.
