UPDATED 5.16PM: A woman with an intellectual disability has been found dead just hours after her sisters pleaded for her to come home.

Angela Tulloh was found in Brown Hill on Wednesday afternoon and police say the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

EARLIER: The sisters of missing woman Angela Tulloh, 44, have begged her to come home after she went missing on Monday.

Rebecca and Michelle Tulloh want Angela to know she isn’t in trouble.

“You’re not in trouble Ange. We’re worried, just please come home,” Rebecca said.

Michelle added “we love you and miss you.”

The sisters said they were worried for Angela as it is likely she wandered off to try and self harm. According to Rebecca and Michelle, Angela doesn’t know how to “cope” with her intellectual disability, leading her to self harm by ingesting things such as radiator coolant, bleach and hand sanitiser.

“She’ll be scared and cold,” they said.

Police called in the air wing to search for a missing woman in Ballarat on Wednesday.

Angela was last seen in Brown Hill about 12.45pm.

Michelle said if anyone sees her to just be gentle and kind to her to make her feel “secure”.

“Use her name if you see her,” Michelle said.

“Just if you see her, say Angie we know who you are and we want to help you.”

“Please tell her she’s not in trouble, we just want her home.”

Ms Tulloh has an intellectual disability that causes her to consume non-food items, including petrol, alcohol, cleaning products and medications, which causes unconsciousness.

She was recently cared for in the Intensive Care Unit after being found unconscious in the street ingesting unsafe items.

She also has a cognitive impairment with selective mutism which means she is unlikely to call out for help when required, police say.

Angela Tulloh, 44, has been missing since Monday and was last seen in Brown Hill about 12.45pm.

Search and rescue police, the SES, the air wing, the mounted police and the special solo unit have all been called in to help search for her.

Anyone living in the areas of Brown Hill, Black Hill, Canadian and Ballarat East have been asked to check their properties, sheds and garages for Ms Tulloh.

“She will probably be trying to hide,” Rebecca said.

“Anything anyone can do to help us find her would be greatly appreciated because the longer she is missing the more at risk she becomes.”

Angela’s sisters said she could be close to waterways like the Canadian lakes or at petrol stations and chemists trying to shoplift substances.

Ms Tulloh has brown eyes, shoulder length dark brown hair, fair complexion and is about 150cm.

She was last seen wearing a grey wearable blanket Oodie with grey Ugg boots.

Police have urged anyone with further information on Ms Tulloh or her possible sighting to contact triple-0 immediately.
