Man charged with attempted murder after Ballarat stabbing
A woman had to be flown to hospital after she was allegedly randomly stabbed by a man south of Ballarat.

Police have charged a Scarsdale man with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a woman south of Ballarat last week.
It is believed the 30-year-old man, unknown to the woman, entered a Browns Road property at Scarsdale and stabbed the alleged victim’s upper body about 4.30pm on Thursday.
Police arrested the man nearby and charged him with attempted murder, intentionally causing injury, and recklessly causing injury.
He was remanded to appear before the Supreme Court in April.
A police spokeswoman said a woman in her 40s was flown to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
