V/Line train on Ballarat line delayed by unruly passengers

Commuters on the V/Line train coming into Melbourne from Ballarat this morning faced delays due to “unruly passengers”.

A V/Line train was delayed as it made its way to Melbourne as police were called to deal with an unruly passenger.

“Unruly passengers” delayed a train on the Ballarat line Friday morning.

A train was briefly held up at Deer Park about 8.40am, with police called to deal with passengers on the train.`

Police were called to the station following reports of an assault in the suburb.

The alleged culprit fled before officers arrived, however.

A V/Line worker apologised for the incident over the train’s speakers as the train pulled in to Southern Cross on time.

No one was injured.
