Two flown to Melbourne after Burrumbeet car collision

CFA crews had to remove two men from a car involved in a serious crash near Ballarat which left four patients hospitalised.

Four men have been hospitalised after a serious crash west of Ballarat.

Emergency services were called to Avenue Rd and Hendersons Rd in Burrumbeet about 6.40am where two car collided.

Of the four people were injured, CFA crews had to remove two from one of the vehicles.

A man believed to be in his 50s was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition; another in his 60s was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition.

Both suffered upper body injuries.

Two other men, one in his 60s and another in his late teens, were taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in stable conditions.
