Chill Out Festival has returned to Daylesford over the Labour Day weekend for the 25th year in a row.

Thousands of people turned out for the Sunday Pride Parade, held annually on Vincent St, where LGBTQI+ groups and icons marched, including internationally renowned singer and songwriter, Kate Miller-Heidke.

First held in 1997, the Chill Out Festival began as a celebration of the LGBTQI+ community, and has grown to be AUstralia’s largest Queer County Pride festival.

The regional city of Daylesford is once again hosting the weekend long party, which began on Thursday March 9.

Local businesses got among the fun, with various point of view videos being shared throughout the day.

Paradise Bookshop posted a birdseye view of the action and have been sharing books written by members of the Queer community on their Instagram page.

Celebrating queer pride for all regional people, Chill Out is run by a committee of people who lend their ideas and experiences to the festival organisers.

The festival boasts a jam-packed itinerary, including a queer life drawing class, a planting trees activity, drag bingo and more.

With speed dating and multiple afterparties running, there won’t be a dull moment at Chill Out festival.
