A Mildura man has been arrested far from home after 12 shop windows in Ballarat were smashed.
Police were called to reports of a man allegedly smashing window at the Bridge Mall Rd shopping centre at 8am on December 27.
Attending officers arrested a 49-year-old man and charged him with criminal damage and breach of bail.
He will face Ballarat Magistrates’ Court later today.
