Power tools worth thousands of dollars and property including bicycles were reported to have been taken from a number of homes in Winter Valley, Miners Rest, Wendouree and Alfredton earlier this month.
CCTV footage posted on Facebook by a Miners Rest woman appears to show a man running off with his arms full of belongings, alleged to have been stolen from her Arranmore Estate house.
