An operation involving multiple emergency and rescue agencies took place in Ballarat on Tuesday afternoon to help an injured teenage boy stuck in Black Hill Reserve.
It is understood the teenager came off his bike, broke his leg, and became stuck in the park, the geography of which called for a steep angle rescue using a rope system.
Ambulance Victoria, Fire Rescue Victoria, the Country Fire Authority, Victoria Police, and the State Emergency Service were represented at the incident, which took place about 1pm.
Seven SES volunteers attended, removing vegetation and carrying equipment, and FRV had a crew of five.
It was just after 3pm when the boy was safely in the hands of paramedics, who treated him and took him to Ballarat Hospital in a stable condition.
