Two gas bottles were retrieved from a home northwest of Ballarat that was discovered “fully involved with fire” on Wednesday morning.
CFA crews responded to reports of a house fire on Gladstone St in Lexton at 6.17am.
Twelve units from multiple brigades attended the scene, finding the home engulfed in flames.
They began suppressing the blaze and extracted two gas bottles from the side of the building.
The incident was deemed under control and safe at 7.23am.
