Fire breaks out at house on Nunn St, Ballarat East

Firefighters battled a house fire in Ballarat East on Wednesday night, with the cause of the blaze still unknown.

A home on Nunn St, Ballarat East was discovered "fully alight" on the evening of July 31, 2024.

Firefighters were called to a “fully alight” home in Ballarat East overnight, with the cause of the house fire to be investigated.

Three CFA units were called to Nunn St just after 7pm on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman said crews arrived on scene, found the house fully alight, and worked to extinguish the flames.

All occupants had already exited the property, she said.

On Thursday morning, the home’s blackened and water-soaked interior was visible from the street, and the yard was strewn with debris.

Firefighters got the fire under control at 7.15pm and deemed the scene safe just before 10pm.

FRV and Victoria Police also attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated.
