Doctor pleads guilty at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court to child sex assault

A vile doctor has pleaded guilty to a raft of charges including sexually assaulting a teenage girl. But the letch has denied he is guilty of another 15 allegations at a Ballarat court.

A doctor has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting and penetrating a teenage girl, but will fight other charges of sexual misconduct.

Dr Obiyo Chigozie Nwigwe, 44, fronted Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 12, and pleaded guilty to five charges including sexual assault upon a child, sexual penetration of a child and use of a carriage service to transmit indecent communications.

He committed those offences earlier this year in March.

But the trauma specialist pleaded not guilty to the remaining 15 charges, which involve a second female.

Those charges include grooming and sexual assault.

A directions hearing will be held next year on January 21 at the County Court in Ballarat.

Nwigwe’s bail was extended with conditions he not attend international points of departure, apply for passport documents or contact prosecution witnesses.
