Car recovered from dam on McKenzie Drive, Wendouree

Emergency services rushed to Wendouree after a car was spotted half-submerged in a dam.

A car drove into a dam along McKenzie Drive in Wendouree.

A suspected stolen car driven into a dam near a Ballarat school caused some early morning drama on Thursday as dozens of emergency service personnel rushed to the scene to search for anyone in need of help.

The car was found semi-submerged by a passer-by about 9.15am in a dam next to Yuille Park Community College in Wendouree.

Police, firefighters, paramedics, and SES volunteers were called to the scene, with SES volunteers in an inflatable boat checking whether anybody was in the vehicle.

The car was pulled from the dam with nobody inside.
