An imprisoned Abbotsford man pressured a woman to withdraw a statement about his criminal offending in the hope of getting out of jail.
A former resident of the Ballarat area, 43-year-old Wayne Robinson, faced Ballarat County Court on Tuesday pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice and other charges.
The court heard between February 8 and March 12 last year, Robinson — while at Ravenhall — pressured a woman not to complain to authorities about him.
The court heard Robinson wrote to the woman, with threats to “throw her under the bus” if she failed to follow his plans.
Robinson was remanded in custody and will return to court in February.
