Police have released the teen driver who allegedly fled the scene of a horror collision near Wangaratta which killed a 19-year-old.
An 18-year-old Bonegilla man was interviewed earlier this week and released pending further enquiries.
Emergency services were called to the single vehicle accident at Eldorado, about 25 minutes east of Wangaratta, about 10.45pm on Saturday night.
Police were told a group of teens were travelling in a Volkswagen ute when they stopped and got out of the car on Lonies Gap Road near Mulls Track.
The 18-year-old is alleged to have got back in the car, and started to drive before it rolled and crushed a 19-year-old man.
He is alleged to have run from the area before he was located at a nearby campsite and taken into police custody where he remains.
Three remaining members of the group, two men and a woman, are continuing to help police.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
