Police release photos of armed robbery in Rutherglen

A man armed with an crowbar threatened a service station employee during a frightening hold-up in Rutherglen at the weekend. See the footage.

Police are appealing for help to catch an armed man who held up a service station in the state’s northeast over the weekend.

Investigators have been told a man wearing a black hoodie and blue Adidas track pants entered a service station on Main St while armed with an iron bar on Saturday night.

It is alleged the man threatened the attendant with the bar, forcing him to hand over cash and cigarettes.

Police believe the man headed towards Douglas St after fleeing the store.

Investigators have released images and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
