Police say two men broke into a Wodonga home and attacked a man in the living room who was taken to hospital with upper-body injuries.

Police have released a digital image in relation to a violent home invasion in Wodonga earlier this month.

Police say two men broke into a Wodonga home and assaulted a man sitting in the living room who had to be taken to hospital with upper-body injuries.

Detectives were told a silver two-door vehicle pulled up outside the Edinburgh Court house about 6.30am when they forced their way into the home.

The offenders then fled the scene in the silver coupe.

The man is believed to be southern European in appearance and aged in his mid-30s.

Investigators have released a digital image of the first offender believed to be involved.

The man is described to be of southern European appearance and aged in his mid-30s.

The second offender is described as caucasian man in his 40s to 50s with grey hair and grey facial hair.
