Body pulled from Lake Hume near Albury

Police are investigating after the body of a 53-year-old Bonegilla man was pulled from Lake Hume on Tuesday night.

Helicopters could be seen circling the area late Tuesday afternoon.

Police said they had only been searching for one man who was reported missing before they found him.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said authorities had been concerned for his welfare.

The cause of death is yet to be determined.

It comes after an 18-year-old drowned at Lake Nagambie, in the state’s north, earlier this month.

More to come.
