Police investigate after two shots fired in quiet Wodonga street

A man was lucky to escape without injury after two men shot at him in a Wodonga laneway overnight. Read what happened.

Two overnight shootings in Wodonga have sparked a manhunt across the region.

Police believe two males approached a man in a laneway at the rear of McEachern Court in Wodonga and threatened him with a gun about 3:45am on Sunday.

“It is understood a shot was discharged, however the victim, a 30-year old Wodonga man, was uninjured during the incident,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.

A second shot was fired at a caravan in the front yard of a home on McEachern Court a short time later.

The circumstances are yet to be established and investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident with dashcam footage or CCTV to please come forward.
